All Dogs are up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, spayed/neutered, dewormed, microchipped and current on monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention. If over 6 months of age, all dogs have tested negative for Heartworms, Lyme, Anaplasmosis and Ehrlichiosis. Also note, we update bios regularly as we learn about each dog – with the goal of trying to find the best fit possible.
This darling girl came into rescue under socialized with people so she will need a very specific home. Dottie (as we like to call her) LOVES other dogs – big and small. She MUST have at least one friendly dog to live with because she relies on other dogs to help her navigate her new home. She is good with cats. Because she is people-shy, she will need a quiet, adult only home with a structured fenced yard. She needs a daily routine and will need a home where the owner respects that she will be a homebody type of girl. As adorable as Dottie is, she does not want to be out and about in public (stores, etc). Her safe place is at home and that’s where she feels the most comfortable. She is a quiet gal who is very reserved. It will take her some time to warm up to people so she has asked for a patient owner who will allow her to blossom at her own pace – but again, she LOVES other dogs. This adorable little fella is friendly, independent, affectionate and moderately playful. Prince is a diva and would be happiest as center of attention. He isn’t needy, but just wants to be the apple of your eye. He loves car rides, walks pretty well on leash and seems open to new experiences. He is good with other dogs but would like to avoid super playful dogs that are the “in your face” type. Dogs that won’t expect him to engage too much would do fine with him. No cats please. His exposure to children has been 10 yrs of age and up.
If you are looking for a somewhat mellow dog that enjoys sitting at the window watching the neighborhood, snuggling up, taking leisurely walks and will be 100% devoted to being the prince in your life, this guy is for you. This beautiful girl came to rescue with her two babies (Sage & Herb) but has since retired motherhood and is ready to live her life. Ginger is a sweet, sensitive girl who will take a few days to a week to settle in and get comfortable. At first, she may just kinda hang back, be alert and watch what’s going on but as each day passes, she engages more and starts seeking out toys and affection. Ginger has good house manners and is housetrained. Sometimes she will start out sleeping in a crate (door open) but ends up snuggled up with you by morning. She enjoys taking walks and walks well on leash. Car rides make her happy and she rides shotgun like a champ. Belly rubs are a highlight of her day as well as curling up under some blankets for a cozy nap. Good with dogs but she would be equally happy as your one and only. Some limited exposure to cats and was fine and she would probably do best with older, calmer kids. If you are looking for a loyal and loving girl to be your little princess, Ginger is the gal for you! This precious little guy is friendly, very affectionate and would love to be your lap dog. Good with dogs of all sizes. Cats unknown. Good with kids. This sweet little guy is so friendly and affectionate that your heart will melt in seconds. Buddy is a small fella with a big heart. He is moderately playful, very affectionate and on the low maintenance side as far as personality. He is housetrained but may have accidents while adjusting to a new environment. This fun and friendly fella is ready to have a life of adventures. Pictures don’t do this boy justice. He is currently 22lbs and is not expected to get much bigger – making him a nice small to medium size dog. Kane is playful and would LOVE a fenced yard to run around and be goofy in. If there isn’t a fenced yard, nice long walks would surely make him a happy boy. He enjoys playing with his toys and can happily self-entertain. Good with dogs (but would be fine as an only dog too). Good with kids. Cats unknown. He is nearly housetrained so may have accidents while adjusting to his new environment. He crates fine. Kane is working on leash training and learning commands. This very sweet girl was rescued on Valentine’s Day – hence the name which means “Love”.
Asta is pretty easy-going overall. Good with dogs, cats and kids. She is moderately playful, LOVES being outside on nice days, exploring the yard, playing with toys and snuggling up with her person(s).
She has a lovely disposition and makes friends wherever she goes. Asta is working on housetraining, crate training and leash training. She enjoys car rides and seems to be a go-with-the-flow kinda gal.
